Sierra Valley Preserve & Nature Center

Located a short 5 miles from Portola, the Sierra Valley Preserve & Nature Center showcases the immense beauty of the Sierra Valley in the name of preservation and conservation.

Their website (link to website) describes the preserve as, "A paradise for birders and nature enthusiasts, Sierra Valley supports the greatest diversity and abundance of birds in the entire Sierra Nevada. The Preserve offers the only year-round public access to the wetland and meadow ecosystems of Sierra Valley."

Hours of Operation:

The Nature Center is open Thursdays through Sundays, 10am to 5pm. Be sure to check the website for conditions and hours prior to your visit!
